I came back with my old problem

@jayeff

@oldturkey03

Now it looks black, a thick black line in the center and colored on the sides. I've already pressed my fingers on the flat of the driver just below the line , it never change anything anyeay.

If possible i would like a solution that doesn't involve changing the panel.

@mbn99 since it is a black line you already know that this particular area that connects the driver board to your LCD screen make no contact. It could be caused by corrosion, micro-tears etc. but will require a closer look. Of course and as usual, it could also be the driver board itself, which will be a No-DIY fix due the way it has been connected to the LCD. See if you can get us some pictures of the "Plastic ribbon cable" (COF) and where it connects

@mbn99 the COF looks good and nothing like corrosion damage etc. That leads me to believe that one of the components above the cables may have failed. Time to use a multimeter and check it out. It's hard to make out which is a resistor and which is a capacitor so you may have to do a lot by trial and error. As a rule of thumb the black components are commonly resistors and slightly grayer are capacitors.

everything leads me to believe it's the panel, unlucky.

@oldturkey03 I have no experience in this part of electronics and using a multimeter, is it worth paying a technician for this? I went to talk to chatgpt and he told me that the defect is almost certainly on the screen and not in capacitors or resistors, what do you think?
