The second generation of Framework's highly-repairable laptop series. Released in January 2024.

What tools from the iFixit prying tool kit can I use?

So I need to get my Framework 16's liquid metal swapped out with PTM7958. There is a guide here, but unfortunately the plastic spudger has a chip in it which makes me worried about using it to scrape liquid metal off of the Framework 16's CPU. I ordered an iFixit prying tool kit simply because it gets here faster than a new screwdriver would, and given that I was recommended to only use plastic tools to get the liquid metal off I am worried about using the carbon fiber spudger. What tools from the iFixit prying tool kit can I safely use without having to worry about damaging my CPU?

The risk is using a metal object on the silicon chip it's self as well as damaging the heatsink with a gouge which reduces the thermal transfer.

Any of the plastic or carbon or glass fiber filled tools will work. The trick is not to apply too much force and not try lifting the chips edge by mistake.
