Why do I need my bathroom fan to run continuously
Last year I had a high efficiency hot water heater installed in our finished basement, the text said he had to install a new bathroom exhaust fan upstairs and he hotwired it in and told me it needed to be left on constantly. Now the hot water heater seems to be shutting off and needing to be reset as it gets colder outside. Are these things related? Has anybody ever heard of bathroom exhaust fan needing to be run continuously forever? Any helps appreciated

Hi @matzie
What is the make and model number of the hot water system?
Is there alternative ventilation already in the bathroom, e.g. window or vent?
