Hi @ethanrichter
Don't know the laptop but can you select left or right speaker audio out only? If you can have you tried that to see if audio from one speaker (or the other) is OK? Might sound different i.e. half stereo sound is missing, but should not be distorted or muffled.
Just verifying that the latest Lenovo audio drivers i.e. RTL_Audio_6.0.9605.1_YogaPro990IMH_240102 (Windows 11 (64-bit) 24 Mar 2024) are installed?
You may have to open the laptop and check if the speakers are still connected OK and also that they're not damaged in any way.
Here's the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop.
Go to p.43 (49 of 66 pdf) to view the procedure to remove the speakers. You will have to nearly completely disassemble it to do this.
If a speaker module is faulty the Lenovo part number is 5SB0S32049¹. Search online for the part number only, to find suppliers that suit you best.
¹ The part number is dependent in that the laptop has a discrete Nvidia GPU as well as the Intel CPU graphics and not just the integrated CPU graphics. which uses different speakers (or at least the part number is different).

Hi @ethanrichter
What is the model number of the laptop as shown on the product information label on the bottom of the laptop?
Is the audio heard when using headphones connected to the laptop muffled as well?
If the problem wasn't there before getting it professionally repaired, take it back to the repairer and ask them if possibly something they did may have caused it.
They should have fully tested their repair work before handing it back.

The model number is 83DN006US
When using headphones, the audio is perfect.
