Drying After Water Damage?

Hi, I have the WH-ULT900N, and about 4 days ago, they got wet when a water bottle opened in my bag. At first, the left side seemed dead, but the right side was able to produce some noise. Soon after, the headphones seemingly died altogether. I left them to dry for he past few days and thought I would give it a shot powering back on again.

When I put them on today, the headphones gave the audio message that the battery was dead and but all the buttons worked and the audio sounded clear.

From here, is it worth it to open them up in order to let them dry better? I'm afraid to plug them back in.

If you already powered them on, charging them is unlikely to do additional damage. But if you want to be on the safe side, opening them up to be sure they have dried would be a reasonable step. My best advice in cases of liquid damage is always to disconnect the battery until the device is full dry. The sooner you disconnect the battery usually the better. You may need to do some damage control anyway if components have developed corrosion.
