My computer is black screen and won’t turn on!

Hi, my HP EF model laptop went black screen and won’t turn on. Everytime I press the turn on button it flashes once white on the side by the usb ports, the small led light to the side of them. I hooked it up to a monitor with the usb to see if it was the display, but it didn’t work. Also it doesn’t turn on at all with no fan sound running. I tried to check the battery, where you take it out and press the turn on button then put it back, but no good news there. I also got a brand new charger to see if it was the charging port, but all it did was charge my battery back to full/white light. If anyone could help it would be appreciated, I was thinking it is the ram/motherboard, but I’m not sure.
