The third revision of the classic Xbox Wireless Controller was released in November 2020, bundled with the Xbox Series X and Series S. This controller is backwards compatible with previous Xbox One consoles, and PCs.

Joysticks freaking out after replacement

I did a DIY repair to fix the stick drift on my controller. I swapped in the Guilkit sticks. Now my joysticks are both constantly reading to the left, and they don't respond to user input. I can't figure out what the issue is.

I should add that the c25 capacitor was damaged. I’m pretty sure it’s redundant, and not the cause of my issue, but I would love to be wrong.

Hi Jason!

It does sound like the traces are broken and thus causing stick drift!

Can you post a photo here regarding your solder work?

Thanks!
