Well as the question says my laptop is making a horrible noise like much louder and weirder than usual. I assume its something to do with the fans inside the laptop but when i took it apart i saw nothing wrong at first glance. Gave it a clean as well but that did nothing.

I put some sewing machine oil on the fan bearings and that seemed to do the trick for me, not sure if its advised thought.

If you suspect it is your fan, the fans won't necessarily appear bad. They have bearings in the center of the fan blade assembly that wear out. If the noise you hear is indeed your fan, it's a cheap and easy fix. Find a replacement on eBay.

Does this laptop have an HDD or an SSD? If it's the former, your drive may be bad. Make sure to back up any files before doing anything. As well as this, is there a way you could share a video of the sound?

If sewing oil did the trick it means your fans are finished, while that helps for the moment it is recommended that you order the replacement fan as soon as possible.
