Try cleaning out the vents with air use like a burst of air no continuous streams to prevent it from going deeper unless you are comfortable in opening it then you could replace the thermal paste and give it a good clean I did it with mine and it helped

If it is the fan. Maybe it's the disk drive that is making noise while reading the disk.
