Connect an external monitor to the laptop's vga or HDMI port and check if there's a display from the laptop showing on it.

Don't forget to press the Fn+ F4 keys (both together) to switch the display output from the laptop screen to the external monitor.

I think in most cases where the PC powers on (lights, fans, Caps Lock working) but no display, the culprit is faulty or improperly seated RAM. So you should look for this problem's solution according to improperly seated RAM.
