Hisense 58R6E3 has sound, but no display with grey screen
My Hisense 58R6E3 TV has an issue with the display. There's no display, but the sound is still on. I can move around with the remote, but can't see anything. The backlights are turning on, not an issue.
When I press the power button, the screen turns grey and the red led blinks twice in a row and repeats.
I am still troubleshooting the issue. I unplugged the ribbon cable for the left side, and the right side screen showed up on the display, but I couldn't see any Roku TV logo or anything; the right side screen was totally white!! Not sure what this could mean. When I switched over to the left and unplugged the right side ribbon, the whole screen was off.
I'm unable to conclude what the issue is, since I did not see any image on the right half, only white screen.
Found 2 YouTube videos for this TV.

In both videos, they talk about removing the shorted capacitors C118 or C119 on the LCD driver board which fixed the issue. I didn't want to go to that extent without confirming that's the issue.
Here are the photos of the power board and the TCON board.

@oldturkey03 Any thoughts on how to approach this issue?

@dobbyisfree I checked those videos and it's interesting. I am just not sure why they did not just check for short to ground to determine that it has failed :-) What we'll agree on is that this seems to be once more an issue with the driver board(s). Since we do not have the schematics I would assume that by removing the capacitors you are doing the same as you would when you do a tape-off. You could try and remove those caps and see what happens. Or you can once more try a tape off :-) Let me know what you find out.

@oldturkey03 I tried taping off a few pins at a time, but it didn't help. Not sure if I was taping off the correct pins.
I posted the zoomed-in images of the left and right halves of the TCON board.
The issue seems to be on the left side. Would you be able to check if those pins make any sense?
Also, does the red LED blink twice and turn off, and repeat indefinitely, give any clue?

@dobbyisfree you have made sure your T-con board is getting power ( there is a test point near CN1 marked 12V_In that you can check. Have you checked those 2 capacitors ( C118 or C119) to see if they are short to ground? I can't see which lines you tried to tape off :-)

@oldturkey03 I checked the 12V_In pin, it shows 12V. I've updated the photo to indicate the taped-off pins.
I placed the red pin on either end of the C118 and C119 capacitors and the black pin on the TV metal panel. In both cases, I hear the beep on the multimeter. I also tried holding the red and black on either end of the capacitors, and it beeps. Although I'm hearing beeps from several capacitors this way, so getting confused. :D

@dobbyisfree try in diode test mode. Now red on ground and black on each point of the capacitors. Let me know what values it shows.
A reading close to zero (or a very low number, e.g., < 50mV) and/or a beep indicates a short to ground. A higher reading (e.g., 200-700mV) is a normal reading for a component connected to a power rail or data line. An "OL" (Over Limit) or "1" reading indicates an open circuit, which is also a normal reading for components not connected to ground.
Some capacitors connect to ground so that could be normal ( can't really tell because there are no schematics)
