HP Omen 15-dh0011nv appears dead in the water.

This thing fell into my possession about a month ago, so I don't really know its full history other than 'it won't turn on'.

It's not that it just won't turn on, the charging light (the little LED near the power plug in HP laptops) doesn't even light up. I've tried a new AC-IN plug and that didn't make a difference.

I have a 200W HP-brand power adapter, which gives out the appropriate juice.

What else, down the line, could've failed and how do I test it?

@sinep_backwards measure the voltage on your battery connector with your laptop connected to the AC adapter. What voltage do you get? Do the same on the motherboard where the DC-In jack connects to. Next, we will need to know what motherboard you have in your laptop (it's printed on the top side of the motherboard) and what the exact laptop model number is.

If your HP Omen 15 shows no charge light even with a good adapter, the likely culprits are a dead DC jack, faulty motherboard power circuit, or blown fuse/MOSFET—testing requires a multimeter to trace power from the jack inward.
