HTC Desire 310 - no command

Hello, I am trying to see if I can fix my HTC Desire 310 in any way, I probably have some images on it that might be worth saving, but its giving me a hard time.

  1. I cant even power on the phone with the power button. It seems like the button might not be working at all.
  2. When I connect the phone with USB cable, it shows the battery charging image, and then the percentage at what level the battery is. So that seems to be working.
  3. Then I plugged the phone in the USB cable so that it powers on, and I held the volume up button, and it gets to the android screen and it says "No command".
  4. Then I tried the same, but holding the volume down button this time. It gets to the factory mode, where I only have 4 options. Item test, cleat test report, version, and shut down. I have tried playing around the item test, I tried the touch panel, and when it opens the test, nothing happens. No matter where I press on the screen, or even if I hold and drag across the scree, it doesnt seem to do anything, the test fails.

So that is pretty much where I am at with the phone right now. It seems it doesnt get far enough for the computer to detect it, however it makes the sound when I connect it to the USB cable.

Any ideas what would be the best steps to take to get to the end of this problem?

Have you tried using wired computer mouse? Most Android phones will automatically detect a mouse that's plugged into the USB-C port and allow you to use that to mouse around the screen and click. Since most existing mice use a USB-A plug, pick up a cheap USB-A-to-USB-C adapter to let you plug it in.

The cable in question is a OTG or on the go cable. Connect your mouse and unlock the phone go to settings and remove any screen lock. Then go to display settings and set the screen auto off for 20 minutes. Go down to about and keep tapping build number until ‘you are now a developer’ pops up. Go back then into the new developer menu and enable ‘usb debugging’ now when you connect your pc it shouldn’t ask for permission to connect to the phone.

Have you downloaded the htc repair software? If not, have a Google and try that.

If you mean the EaseUS ones, yes I have tried. Pretty much none of those work at the stage my phone is in. They all require unlocked screen and so on.
