@jellybeanman @kapitalizm while I understand the frustration of poorly formulated answers and questions, that is not a reason for downvotes. Downvotes should be reserved for malicious, misleading or just blatantly wrong answers/question. Downvotes are to be avoided whenever possible. If there are any concerns about the question/answer then those shall be clarified/addressed via a comment to the OP instead of just downvoting without any comment as in why the downvote. We are a community and as such we need to help each other out instead of pushing people down with negative downvotes.

On Dell Inspiron 15 there's usually upgradable RAM or SSD, but not CPU or GPU, so changing it may improve performance, but not very high.

Never thought about enabling game mode, I will try that, maybe it will add some speed. My memory is maxed out to 16gb.

@shortsstorms if you haven’t already, get a ssd hard drive. Samsung ones have software that you connect the new hard drive to you laptop and it makes an identical copy of your system. When you switch drives and turn it on it’s the same as before except faster. Mine was slow as hell but now it’s usable again.

Well you can try the following:

  • Update Graphics Drivers
  • Enable windows Game Mode & GPU Settings
  • Close browsers, unnecessary apps, and disable startup programs (Task Manager > Startup tab).
  • Use a good Pc optimizer software or game booster software

@shortsstorms you can't make it any faster then what your hardware allows. You can possibly tweak some settings. Without knowing the hardware requirements for your game, or the ones for your computer, anything will just be a guess. Here is the Dell Inspiron 15 3580 Service Manual that will tell you about your computers settings.
