No spin, makes sound, turns off like its done

So samsung dryer will not spin. After I put clothes in and start it up, a couple lights flash. I dont know if that is normal or not because Im using my mother's because mine just went out. But after I push start, it makes a noise, then makes that little musical sound and turns off like it went through the whole cycle. But it didnt . All that in a matter of maybe 2 min

No spinning on Samsung can be caused because of water input tube got clogged. You have to put off the top cover, remove the black tube and clean everything from input valve to the washing powder compartment. If error will still stay, maybe you should replace the input valve or it's a module or engine error.

Its the dryer. I think it had some sensors popping up. I cant seem to be extremely hard to take off. Someone tried to tell me since its new there is no fixing it but I believe it is a simple fix.

@kayla87236 Well, you have to test the engine separately to be sure it's working, if it does, it can be sensor problem or problem in main module (for example, relay or ULN is broken)

Knowing the model number will help if replacement parts are required

Model# DVE45T3200W/A3

I believe I'm having the same issue, where I turn it on and select cycle ..it appears to attempt the cycle all-be-it purely by noise alone it still progressively counts down yet infrequently attempting to cycle ( some form of trying to rotate/no grinding/ 3 second whirling noise taking place).... ALL THOSE THAT CAN attest to the similarities in occurrence, stating such will further assist in determining appropriate procedures for all that attends. Once query has been addressed. Also as someone who used to install washing/drying equipment I can say that the cord utilized is the gray one and not the necessary black cord. So if it's as simple as insufficiency in power please someone that's aware let us know.

( if model# is same also helps)

Hi @fayadfreeman

Here is the service manual for the model series that may help.

Go to p.31 (29 of 36 pdf) in the manual and follow the flow chart to see how far you get through it.

On p.35 (33 of 36) it details how to resistance test all the components.

If you find a faulty component that needs replacing, here's a parts list that is useful.

Locate the wanted part in the list and note the part number shown for it. Search online for the part number only, to find suppliers that suit you best.
