🛠 Quick Fixes

  1. Clean the earbuds
    • Gently clean the mesh with a dry brush or soft cloth.
    • Wax/dust buildup is the #1 cause of “low volume in both buds.”
    • Don’t poke with sharp objects — you can damage the drivers.
  2. Reset the earbuds
    • Put earbuds in case, open the case.
    • Hold the case button for ~10 seconds until the LED blinks red/white.
    • Re-pair them to your phone.
  3. Check in-app settings (Nothing X app)
    • Make sure Volume Limit / Hearing Protection isn’t active.
    • Check the EQ — if set too low or flat, it’ll sound quiet.
    • Try switching ANC/Transparency modes — sometimes ANC bugs can lower volume.
  4. Test on another device
    • Pair with another phone/laptop.
    • If still low → problem is with the buds.
    • If normal → problem is with your phone settings.
  5. Disable Absolute Volume (Android only)
    • On your phone, go to Developer Options → enable Disable absolute volume.
    • Some phones mismanage volume sync, making earbuds too quiet.
  6. Firmware update
    • In the Nothing X app, check for updates.
    • Firmware patches often fix sound balance/volume issues.
