Inside water dispenser not working.

My inside water dispenser does not allow me to engage it (push it in) when I open the door to get water. There is no outside door dispenser only inside so every drop of water you get the door will be open. It happened once before and corrected itself the same day about 6 years ago, now it's permanently stuck and I'm not sure how to disassemble it to see what the issue is. The refrigerator still makes ice and the water line is not frozen (had those problems before and made adjustments to fix that issue). 2010 model year. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as to how to remove the water dispenser without breaking anything.....thanks.

Hi @phil24677

Don't know the answer but here's an image of the rear of the dispenser module for the refrigerator

It seems as though it just hooks in at the top and clips in at the bottom. You may be able to insert a flat screwdriver blade at the point indicated in the image and prise it out there and then unhook the clips at the top of the module

If the part needs replacing, the part # shown in the image is the one for your model. Search online for the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.
