Why is my Walkman WM-FX193 making a buzzing noise?
My cassette player has been making this droning, electric buzzing noise when playing tapes recently, not sure how to describe it properly but it‘s like an electric mosquito getting incrementally louder. I tried playing multiple tapes, ones that previously did not have such noise, and they all had it. The fm/am works marvellously still.
I tried swabbing the player head, and it got rid of the buzz for a short while and then it would come back again.
The model is WM-FX193.
What might be the problem here?

Oh I should add that when I rewind or wind the tape forward, the noise is there too. The volume of the buzz also does not change with the music volume.
