2014 Chevy Silverado LT z71

For whatever reason they completely skipped over the 2014 Chevy Silverado. I'm guessing it's probably because of all the problems it had. I have a p0796 which is cylinder c in the transmission stuck. I realize it's all one piece nm and have to order it all together. But they do make kids to repair just the cylinder by themselves.. I'm just curious if anybody has ever done one of the kits and how it did. And if GM ever did anything about any of this
