The Samsung Galaxy M52 5G was released in September 2021

Device over heating after display change.

I replaced the original AMOLED display of my Samsung M52 after a red line appeared within a year, and the phone remained unused for a long time. Recently, I installed a third-party LCD display. Since then, I’ve observed that the phone heats up and the battery drains even without use. Could this replacement cause issues or limitations compared to the original AMOLED?

Any way i can self diagnose this issue.

Absolutely. While the LCD itself draws less power than an OLED, that's more than offset by the need for a backlight since an LCD can only block or transmit light, not generate it like an OLED. So the power requirements for an LCD replacement are much higher than that of your original OLED, which will cause a shortened battery life and may strain your power management chips since they're not designed to power an LCD/backlight combination.

The only way I can think of to diagnose the issue would be to find the power specifications for the original OLED, your replacement LCD and your power management chips. You would then have to compare the power draw of the display with the power generation capability of the PMC(s) to verify that they're not being run outside of their design tolerances.

I have also another observation regarding the issue I tried switching off the phone which is having 72% of battery, after some time when I have checked the phone it is getting heated during the switched off condition and battery is drained to 40%.

Feels like some serious issue is going on with the phone.

Any points to add regarding this.

@basil33672 Just to clarify, you're actually powering down the phone completely rather than just, say, pressing the power button once to essentially put it to sleep?

Yes phone was powered off,and battery was drained as per the observation, current state totally drained battery, worried about will it cause any board issues.

Poor installation or something else I couldn't able to notice is actually happening inside.

How should I proceed further.
