Coffee, water is fine but no milk/froth

Hi,

I recently got a j9.3 that has been on a shelf for ten years. It had an electronics problem that was resolved by changing the logic board. It has made 6000 cups in total.

I have gone over everything including a stuck backflow valve in the water pump. It seems to run just fine except it doesn't suck any milk either for just milk or foam. It does however pour hot water fine through the same spout. I have taken the ceramic valve apart and checked it over but no wear or tear. Since it can direct water to the brew group and to the water/milk spout it does operate except for the steam that seems to go to the brewgroup that steams like crazy.

Checked all valves and motors.

Any ideas?

I came to think about something; the milk spout is an extra feature, can it be that the new logic board is not set up for that? My thinking is that the display unit "knows" but when milk is selected, the logic board cannot control the ceramic valve since it doesn't know about the milk feature.

If so, how can I check the machine settings?
