Powers up but no output(s)
Unit powers up but none of the media's are functioning. TT, no spin, radio no out put, CD won't open, etc. Where to start trouble shooting?

Are you even seeing illumination on the display front? If not then it's likely a power issue check the cord and if you have a good DVM measure the power internally at power socket and then check the power supply. Use care here as you can get a good zap which could be more than painful!
