motor noise powering up and down when opening door

My GE Profile refrigerator, model PVD28BYNCFS, has a louder-than-previous motor noise when opening the french door on the ice maker side only. I can now hear a clatter(?) as it powers up when opening and powers down when closed. It's only for a few seconds, and then it runs smoothly for the rest of the time.

When I'm behind the refrigerator, looking at the back, it appears to be in the lower right area. It is definitely not the ice maker.

How can I fix this before it becomes an issue?

Can't find a free download of the mini manual (GE # 31-1000390 Rev.5) or the TSG (technical service guide - GE # 31-9326b) which would show you how to run the diagnostics so that you could hopefully isolate what the problem is (and also show any error codes that may be there as well) but usually GE supplies the mini manual with each appliance.

Here's an article that states where the mini manual can be located and if it isn't there then how it can be obtained for free from GE.

If you find the problem and it's a faulty part that needs replacing, here's the parts list that is useful. Locate the wanted part in the list and note the part number that is shown with it. Search online for the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.

If you search on YouTube for (insert wanted part number) replacement, sometimes if you're lucky you'll find videos that show how to replace the part.
