The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), or simply the Super Nintendo, is a 16bit gaming console released by Nintendo in 1990. The Super Nintendo was one of the best sellers of its time and still has a large fanbase today.

What is causing my image problems?

I have 2 SNES consoles. I load Donkey Kong 2 one one and it looks great. I load it on my other and it looks funny. See images attached for what it should look like and what it does look like. I have a SNS-CPU-RGB-01. I'm assuming one of my chips needs replacement but I'm not sure which

Hi Michael!

First of all, did you tried the "working" AV cable on both of them? Could be related to the cables.

Most likely is that the PIN connector is dirty inside. Did you tried to clean it with isopropyl alcohol? Would try this first and see how that goes!

Otherwise you might want to replace it to test, could also be the GPU causing this issue...

First I would try cleaning and the known working AV cable.

Please let us know how it goes!
