One of my usb c ports stopped working for charging and data so I moved to the other one which soon followed suit. I can no longer use my monitor and I’m not sure what I should do. Neither of them registered when I tested them.

Often when I hear this the AC outlet is mis-wired or the AC plug's polarity on one device flipped so the ground side is ho burning out the UART chip. You'll need to first check your outlets and power cords a simple outlet tester to test the outlets a DVM is what you need to see if the ground is hot. You may need to get an electrician in to fix your breaker panel and it's ground is working over time the ground rod and its cable breaks down.
