Why my phone touch screen is not working

• Restart the phone → Hold the power button until it restarts. If the touch doesn’t work at all, force restart:
  • iPhone: Quickly press Volume Up → Volume Down → hold Power until Apple logo.
  • Android: Hold Power + Volume Down for ~10 sec.
• Remove screen protector or case → Sometimes they block touch.
• Clean the screen → Use a soft dry cloth.

• Safe Mode (Android): Hold power button → Tap & hold “Power off” → Select Safe Mode.
  • If touchscreen works in safe mode → an app is causing the problem. Uninstall recent apps.
• iOS / iPhone: If the screen is slow or unresponsive, update iOS via iTunes or Finder.

• Some phones have a touch test menu:
  • Android: Dial #0# (on Samsung) → test touchscreen.
  • iPhone: No direct code, but you can test by dragging apps across the screen.

If touch still doesn’t work after restart:

• Dropped / water damage? The digitizer (touch layer) might be broken.
• Loose display connector: If screen was recently repaired, cable may be loose.
• Cracked screen? → Replacement needed.

• Factory reset (only if you can still back up data with a mouse via OTG cable).
• If the screen is totally dead → only fix is screen replacement at a service center.
