2.2 GHz (Turbo Boost up to 3.4 GHz), 2.5 GHz (Turbo Boost up to 3.7 GHz), or 2.8 GHz (Turbo Boost up to 4.0 GHz) quad-core Intel Core i7 processor with 6 MB shared L3 cache and an optional AMD Radeon R9 M370X dGPU.

Fan screw bolster came loose—how to reattach?

The little metal piece that receives the screw for the fan and holds it to the board (example circled in red below; the one in question circled in green) fell off my board, and now my fan is clanking against my case.

I tried to superglue it back on, but that failed; it couldn’t take the torque of screwing in the screw.

What’s the correct/best way to reattach this? Solder it on? Let the superglue sit overnight? What?

I would us two products to reattach the standoff stud to the logic board, the first is Loctite Super Glue 0.14 oz.Gel And then using a small amount of epoxy putty to flare out the base a bit using this product STAR BRITE 4 Oz Epoxy Putty Stick

Make sure you've aligned the standoff in the correct alignment so the grain of the torn fiberglass is the same carefully glue it down and after it has set wrap the lower edge with a little ring of the epoxy putty to improve its adhesion to the board. Don't cover any components and don't over tighten the screw.
