How to fix the battery of hp laptop?

charging cable without battery should power up laptop. If battery is not charging, check amazon for replacement. If you want to repair, follow steps below:

Tools required:

Battery spot welder, spot welder tabs, electronics case opening pry tools, utility knife, soldering tools/solder, electronics tool kit, super glue

Check battery for any screws, remove screws (may be hidden under label)

If no screws, it was HF welded. You need to score lines on side of battery with utility knife all around battery.

Work knife in and use pry tools to open shell of battery.

ID type of battery and get replacements

Write down connections and orientation of batteries (+ and -) series/parallel connections, take a picture with your phone for reference

Remove batteries from wiring using soldering iron.

Build duplicate battery assembly using battery spot welder/spot welder tabs

Solder wires to new battery assembly and install into battery case. Double check battery orientation, series/parallel connections, wiring connections are correct

close case and glue shut.

Insert into laptop and power on.
