Why my charger is not working

What's the manufacturer and model number of your laptop? There are just too many different ones out there for us to be able to help without knowing more.

Have you checked the output of the charger with a volt meter? Most of the time when mine have failed it's due to the wires breaking due to repeated flexing over the years. You may not be able to see the breaks inside the outer sheath.
