This laptop was released in 2016. Model Number: i5368-10024GRY ASIN: B01F3R99HY. In order to properly repair this device, screwdrivers, iFixit Opening Tools and spudgers are necessary.

I dont know the value of 2 resistors

Hello, I bought this used laptop and it doesnt charge, there are 2 missing resistors in the motherboard but I dont know their values, here is the schematic:⏎

Block Image

The 2 resistors that are missing in my motherboard are El4303 and El4304.

Here is my motherboard

And here is the original one:

Hi @saralepatricio

Their value is 0.5 Ohms +/-5%, 5W.

Update (08/16/25)

@saralepatricio

I think that the components that you highlighted in the last image are capacitors EC4301 and EC4302 and not resistors.

EC4301 = 10µF 25V (smd size is 0805 but not sure)

EC4302 = 1µF 25V (can't find out the smd size)

They have different sizes, what do I do in that case?

@saralepatricio

According to the schematic you posted they should be identical as they have the same type or model number.

If you mean they have different size resistors having the same resistance/wattage values then you need to measure the distance between the two pads that each resistor connects to and find the one that fits

If you mean that they use two different physical size resistors to connect between the pads on the motherboard because the pad spacing is different then you could solder a length of wire to one end of the resistor so that when the resistor is soldered to one pad then wire will reach the other pad that the resistor should be connected to.

But they are too different, one is easily 2 times the size of the other.

@saralepatricio add a picture of your motherboard and let's see what you are looking at. One picture of the area with the resistors and one of the complete motherboard. It will also help if you can let us know the exact model number for your motherboard.

There I edited it with a photo of my motherboard and another one of the original board.
