Hi @christophe51104
Not necessarily.
Have you tried using a different, known working, compatible charger to see if the laptop shows that it is charging, in case the charger is faulty?
If if still doesn't charge with a different charger, it could be a faulty power connector cable in the laptop
To check this out here's the maintenance and service guide for the laptop. Go to p.59 (67 of 110 pdf) in the manual, to view the procedure to remove the cable.
This will give you access to the cable plug so that you can check the cable is OK to see if there's 19.5V DC when using a DMM (digital multimeter) to measure between the red and black wires on the plug at the end of the cable, when the charger is connected to the laptop's charge port.
If there's isn't any voltage then the cable is faulty and will need to be replaced as it cannot be repaired. Search online for L01048-001 to find suppliers that suit you best. (supplier examples only).
If there is the correct voltage, then the schematics and boardview files for the motherboard would be needed to help find out what's wrong. Search online for DA0X8MMB6D0 Rev. D schematic to find suppliers that suit you best.
