Is the Samsung S23 Ultra replacement battery 45W?

Hello, on August 6th, I ordered Ifixit's Samsung S23 Ultra Replacement Battery. Is it 45 W ? I am askig because I wasn't able to charge it above 30W (I'm using a 45W charger and a compliant cable) and Ifixit's specification page doesn't indicate this information. It just says that it's an aftermarket product as close as possible to the original and it gives various numbers EXCEPT the wattage.

Thanks for your help.

@cdd46151 that is absolutely correct. The charge is not controlled by the battery but by the charging circuitry. Batterie's only list the Wh which is the amount of power (in watts) that a battery can supply for one hour.

Your phone supports 45W charging but the actual wattage will always fluctuate. It may start high but then it will settle anywhere between 15W to 30W. All of this is normal behavior for your new battery.

Thanks for your quick reply OldTurkey03 ! So I don't know what's causing this but the iFixit replacement battery definitely charges slower than my original Samsung Battery. I know it for sure because I use the same charger with the same cable (a 100w digital cable that shows the wattage in real time) and same ambient temperature. When I said that the maximum I was getting was 30W, it's when the phone is totally shut down, but when it's switched on in the home screen, it charges at 5-8W with peaks at 18W, it never goes above 20W.

It would be nice if :

1/ Other users told me if their iFixit battery has similar issues or works perfectly

2/ iFixit said what exactly differs from the original Samsung battery. Here in France, a small shop sells the genuine Samsung S23 Ultra Battery 80€ but the iFixit replacement battery only cost me 32.95€. There must be some tradeoffs ?

@cdd46151 hm, definitely unusual but lets see what iFixit says. Try to email them at support@ifixit.com or use the customer service form and see if that gets you a better explanation.

support@ifixit.com has just replied and Marie, Customer Representative, told me that "the battery is genuine" (even though the product page states that "This is an aftermarket part. It is not a genuine Samsung part.") :-/ She thinks that I am using a cable or charger that is not compatible with 45W Super Fast Charging :-/

On the comments page, another buyer ("Louis-Philippe A") has just left a comment yesterday stating that the battery sold by iFixit is not genuine and has a bit less power than the original battery.
