4 Electrolux or Frigidaire FFRE12L3S10?
Label says Electrolux but site says model not valid. Apparently its now Frigidaire ??
Been cooler here lately, more heat coming, but A/C just randomly started to run ! Not cold enough to run compressor but unit itself isn't supposed to go to ON without a button press either on unit or on the remote.
Anyone hear of this happening or know what it might be ?

@ron_co have you checked if this is a thermostat issue? Most AC come on if the thermostat limits are reached? Or is this happening when the power to the unit is actually off?

It's OFF when this happened. Supposedly it only goes to ON when we hit the button on the unit's touch pad or on the remote. I was pretty surprised, actually. I killed power, took it all apart expecting to find moisture inside touch panel compartment, because that was the case when it was acting crazy in 2018. At that time I dried it all out and put a small desiccant pouch in there when I reassembled. We used this a lot over the past month but not at all in recent days. I found zero moisture this time, but cleaned it up, put it back together and it seems okay. We just don't trust it anymore insofar as leaving the house, so we kill power via the gfi/reset button on the plug. I suppose the remote could have been the culprit too.

@ron_co you can always remove the battery from the remote and see if that will eliminate it. Otherwise you know you are looking at a bad touch pad. I agree, for as long as it does weird things like this, don't leave it plugged in when nobody is home.

Roger that, thanks. My dishwasher decided to have a non responsive touch pad this week .. while the a/c is being overactive.
