samsung 32B450c4w volume keeps changing on its own

So my old samsung has suddenly developed a fault where the volume suddenly scrolls all the way up or down by itself and then becomes unresponsive when it gets to either end. It is now completely unusable. I know it's an old tv but I was hoping it's fixable. I'm ok with a soldering iron but honestly don't know where to start looking.
