Hi Anni,

Unfortunately, iFixit does not yet have a guide for replacing the logic board/motherboard for your phone. There are so many phones and other devices the staff creates guides for that they don't have time to make a set of instructions for every part on every phone, so they tend to concentrate on the parts that people commonly replace.

That being said, there's a Spanish site called Nadie Me Llama Gallina (Nobody Calls Me Chicken) that does have the guide you need. It's initially in Spanish, but has an English language option.

Manuales / Apple iPhone 12 / Base Plate - Nadie Me Llama Gallina

Be aware that due to Apple's aggressive parts pairing policy, replacing a logic board is no longer a viable option. On your phone the battery, screen, front camera and rear cover of the phone are all paired to the motherboard, and you will experience popup error messages and reduced or lost functionality. TrueTone won't work and you may have issues with the operation of the camera and wireless charging, in addition to several messages informing you that the parts I mentioned may not be genuine - even though they are. Some or all of these may be mitigated using the iOS 18 Repair Assistant, but to the best of my knowledge, you'll lose Face ID and I don't believe the Repair Assistant will fix that for you.

The upshot is that Apple has ensured that enough parts are tied to the motherboard that replacing it won't be worthwhile; if you need a new logic board it may be time to consider replacing the phone. This being iFixit, it pains me to say that, but thank Apple for making self repair harder and harder.

You may have heard about Apple's Self Repair program, where you can fix your phone yourself using genuine Apple parts (and everything will work correctly), but a logic board is not one of the parts you can buy through their service, sorry to say.

I hope this information helps, Anni; if you have any questions feel free to ask.
