Why is my console killing the red light sometimes?
My PlayStation 3 sometimes play and switch itself off and doesn’t show the red light ?

Hi!
Can be caused by multiple things.
1: Overheating. Please open up the device and remove all the dust! Also replace the thermalpaste. Test the PS3 and see if it is solved or not!

If not, proceed to 2.
2: Power supply issues! Please replace the power supply for a new one and see if it is solved.

If it's not solved after this, then it's most of the time motherboard related. But, please check the other options first.
