Not being able to remove dishwasher

Block Image

I have a Ikea Lagan dishwasher which was installed by the previous owner and I am trying to take it out to install a new one. I have removed the screws and the brackets on the front of the dishwasher, but to my surprise, it’s still locked in by some side screw/hinge in the inner area that is not visible. There is no screw coming from the side cabinet either. Does anyone have an idea on how to take the dishwasher out?

Thanks!

Hi @x_gasta33

Can you access the water inlet hose, dishwasher drain hose and power cord at the back of the dishwasher from either cupboard on the side of the dishwasher?

Just wondering if they're preventing the dishwasher from being moved forward.

Someone may have to feed the hoses and cord in towards the dishwasher as someone else is pulling the dishwasher forward

Thanks for the tip. Removed the inlet and outlet hoses and it was still hinged internally. In the end, it turned out to be that the previous owner, who installed the machine, did not think about the removal at all, so mounted the machine and screwed it on the sides on the back side. And then assembled the marble table on top 🤦🏻‍♂️. Result=impossible to remove without breaking something. Solution=needed to saw the walls of the machine to access the goddamm hidden screws.
