Replaced control board; worked 1 time after replacement and then quit
My dryer just quit replaced the control board; worked on the first start up and then went unresponsive right after. What could be the problem?

Check the cable connection between the control board and the console panel make sure that it is secure and also that there's no corrosion on the contacts.
Here's a wiring diagram (hopefully it is applicable to your model as well) that shows there's not really much else that would affect it this way, only the control board which you replaced and the console (shown as membrane switches in the diagram)
The p/n for the console with the touchpad is 22004444 (supplier examples only)

Do you know what the resistance should be for these circuits or where I can find that info? maybe I can check the wiring for any faults prior to installing a new board.
The wiring diagram was all that I could find for your model.
If the flex cable is attached to the console panel, you may have to just try measuring between the pins of the cable and check for any changes when pressing a button on the console.

Hi @brianpeter51750
Is there an indication that the dryer has power e.g. light in tumbler or display on control panel?

Yes. It’s a Maytag Neptune MDG5500AWW. It’s lights up but the buttons don’t function. I was told to replace the control board, which I did and it worked, once. When I stopped the dryer and tried to restart, all the buttons were not responsive at all. Lights on, no one’s home.
