1 New 3ds xl barrel wont go back in
I replaced my new 3ds xl top frame but when it seems impossible to push the barrel back in. I have tried pushing it while the console is closed and almost open. It almost goes in while pushing it while the console is nearly open, but it doesnt seem to go fully in. The exposed part of the barrel is a little damaged from trying to push it, but i dont know if it changes anything. If i close the console while its almost in (from trying to push it from the open position), it just pushes itself out.

The images on the bottom show the condition of the barrel. Im not sure if it matters, but the condition is a little rough from trying to get it in.
In the background it shows what position the barrel was in (white tab down) , when i detached it from the lower frame.
Theres not alot of videos online about taking apart the n3dsxl, so the position of the barrel could be wrong, in the top photos there are the two possible ways it could go in, with the white tab up, or down. I have not tried putting it back with the white tab up, but i dont know if its recommendable since i have not seen anyone else put it like that.
