Connect an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port and check if the display from the laptop is steady when shown on the TV.
Don't forget to press the Display toggle hot key on the keyboard to change the display from the laptop's screen to the external monitor screen.
If the display on the external monitor screen is OK, restore the display to the laptop's screen then then slowly and gently move the laptop lid back and forth to see if doing this affects the glitching at all.
If the glitching stops or gets worse then there may be a problem with the video cable between the motherboard and the LCD panel in the lid e.g. loose cable connection at either end, motherboard or LCD panel or the cable is damaged where it passes though the lid hinge to get from the motherboard in the lower case to the LCD panel in the lid.
If the glitching doesn't change and keeps happening, most likely it is a faulty LCD panel which will have to be replaced as it cannot be repaired.
Here's a video that shows how to replace the LCD panel in the laptop.
