I am unable to do any Windows Update?

This issue usually happens when a Windows Update service shuts down during the process. Try these steps to fix it:

1. Restart your computer – This can sometimes reset the update services.
2. Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter
   • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters
   • Select Windows Update and follow the prompts.
3. Manually restart update services
   • Press Win + R, type services.msc
   • Restart:
     • Windows Update
     • Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS)
     • Cryptographic Services
4. Clear the update cache
5. Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run:

7. net stop wuauserv net stop bits ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old net start wuauserv net start bits
8. Run a system file check
9. In Command Prompt (Admin):
10. bash
11. sfc /scannow
