The Canon Powershot A1200 is a 12-megapixel point-and-shoot camera that uses an f2.8 28mm-equivalent wide-angle lens with a 4x zoom. It was originally released in 2011.

Why is my screen glitchy?

My screen is like an old tv

Hi @jodienomoto

Do the pictures turn out OK when downloaded and viewed on a computer etc?

If they do, it could be a faulty LCD screen or a loose screen flex cable connection to the motherboard.

Worst case is if it is problem on the motherboard i.e. motherboard → screen circuit.

Here's a video that shows how to replace the LCD screen in the camera.

If the screen's flex cable connection seems secure, given the cost of a replacement screen, replacing it is what I'd try next.

Search online for Canon PowerShot A1200 lcd screen to find suppliers that suit you best.

Has the camera been dropped or gotten wet at all?
