How to remove the power socket from the back case?

I’ve recently gutted my iMac and turned it into a display with a display board. Currently I have the power and display cables coming out the RAM door, but I really want to have all the cables come out the power socket, however I can’t figure out how to remove it. It’s plastic, so I know it’s a different material and not part of the chassis, but I only found 2 screws and removing them did nothing. Anyone have to do this recently or know how to do it? Everything I find online talks about removing the power supply or the power cord, but those are done.

It's hot glued in the older models. A good heat gun should be able to soften the glue

But, how about leveraging it hard wired on the inside sharing the single AC cable connection out. As far as the data cable to the system a you pass it though one of the port holes? You don't really want the two cables to be to close as you can get cross feed noise and if there's a lightning strike it can jump across.
