Refrigerator and freezer not cooling

Assuming that you meant that the condenser fan was working, check if the evaporator fan inside the freezer compartment behind a panel at the back of the compartment is running.

The fan will run as long as the compressor motor is running and if both doors are shut. It will stop when a door is opened (either door) and start again when the door is shut. The compressor will keep running when a door is opened.

Manually operating the door switch will simulate that the door is closed therefore you can check if the fan is working or not when the compressor is running and with a door open

If the fan is not running due to it being iced over, then there's a defrost problem with the refrigerator.

This could be caused by a faulty defrost heater, faulty defrost timer, faulty defrost thermostat or the drain leading from below the evaporator unit to the evaporator pan underneath the compartments near the compressor may be blocked, preventing the defrost meltwater from draining away allowing it to refreeze and build up on every subsequent defrost cycle.

If the fan is not running and is not iced over, then there's a problem with either the fan motor or the power supply to the fan

If you find the problem and it's a faulty part that needs replacing, here's the parts list that is useful. Locate the wanted part in the list and note the part number that is shown with it. Search online for the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.

If the evaporator fan isn't operating that's why the refrigerator compartment isn't cooling.

The evap fan blows the cold air from the freezer compartment into the refrigerator compartment to cool it down.

The freezer compartment is cold because that's where the evaporator unit is located. The evap unit is where the cold temp is generated, due to the refrigerant gas that is being pumped through it by the compressor.

Not sure with your model as I can't find the wiring diagram for it, but if the compressor motor is running, try manually operating the door switch (with door open) to see if the light turns on and the fan turns off.

If the fan isn't running when you have operated the door switch i.e. light is off, try pressing the switch a few times just in case it's a faulty switch.

With most refrigerators the evap fan runs as long as the compressor motor is running, however the evap fan is turned off, when the door is opened because you don't want any cold air being blown out from the compartment. The compressor continues to run when the door is open. The fan will restart when the door is closed.

The only way the controls know that a door is open is because the door switch is released by the door being open. This switch is also used to turn the light in the compartment on and off
