What make and model TV is the tcon board in?

Sometimes the service manual for the TV has the schematic for the boards.

Have you proved that the capacitor is short circuit i.e. removed it from the board and tested it out of circuit and not that you tested it in situ and that there's a parallel path around the capacitor and that is what you're measuring?

It is not TV, but standalone media display.

When searching for the tcon board number examples you'll find that it is also used in a lot of different TVs.

You may have to be a bit more specific and look what numbers come after the number that you posted as that seems to be only a part of the board ID and they may be different.

There's one in the examples that shows:

GENUINE JVC LT-50N6105A T-CON BOARD 6870C-0805A "6871L-5898A" for a JVC TV

and another that shows:

6870C-0805A "6871L-5926A" T-con Board for 55 65 55PFL5602/F7 5926AJ 5898AJ which is for a Philips TV.

You won't find service manuals online for JVC products but with Philips you might.

The board is also used in LG models as well.
