Screen failure after battery replacement

I did what I thought was a near-perfect battery replacement following IFIXIT instructions. The phone worked and I used it for the evening. Put it in the charging cradle overnight and I awoke to a dead screen. Phone still clicking as if working just nothing to see. How can my repair have caused a delayed fault like this?

@christophe62605 a battery change should not be the cause for this. Always double check your work. Make sure that all cables are properly reinstalled and seated. Check the connector for any bend or broken pins. Let us know what you find.

Well,I personally have been repairing cellphones, tablets and electronics for 10 years or more now and the one thing I know is that the adhesive on the battery in cellphones is a demon that puts up one hell of a fight my friend.yiu should not really do this to get the battery out,I have done this myself..if you used something like a thick credit card or something like that to help pry the battery out due to the insanely sticky devil adhesive, you are also pushing on the backside of the LCD/screen whatever you want to call it. If not extremely careful you will definitely damage your LCD... Everything will still work except for your display. Your display may flicker or go White or whatever it does,it's just not correct and it's obvious, kinda like a cellphone that mysteriously stops having a functional display overnight... Im just messing with you. It only takes a little bit of pressure on a LCD to damage it. Do check your connections though could be a ribbon cable that you didn't close the lock on or another connection somewhere along the path of repairing the cellphone. But if you did happen to accidentally apply pressure to get the old battery out im going to say start there and be done with it. Good luck my friend, you got this. Never give up, never surrender, keep pushing forward!!!

Also I like to tell people this, byou might as well try to repair it,I mean it's already broken what's it going to get More broken??? Really?? Get out of here..
