My time changing belt went out
My 2015 Honda CRV time changing belt went out and I'm up for the task to fix it myself because I don't have 4,500$ to spend. Anything will hell

How did your chain fail? Did it jump time or the chain snap? Did it happen while driving or at idle? Old turkey is right that the 2.4l im assuming you have is an interference engine. Depending on how it failed or if its just on its way to failing like a stretched chain, that will determine next steps. If it hasn't actually jumped time and is just stretched and slapping or has a cold start rattle, then you dont need to worry about internal engine damage and can just do the timing job. If it completely failed and timing jumped or chain broke, then you need engine internals inspected because you likely have damaged valves.

@hakodaarrukante you forgot to tell us the engine size. Since all Honda's are interference engines, any damages to the valves, pistons etc.?
