Whirlpool Good Series - stopped cooling

My Whirlpool model WRF736SDAM14 freezer stopped cooling, Then we noticed the top refrigerator stopped cooling. We moved all food out, and it sat over night. I know it got over 50 degrees in the refrigerator area. The next morning I noticed both were cooling down. The refrigerator is approx. 32 degrees and the freezer is now about 20 degrees. Was something frozen and it thawed out - or is there something that needs to be replaced?

Could be any one of several things has happened. Was the compressor motor running when you noticed that the refrigerator wasn't cooling?

Here's the tech sheet for the refrigerator that may help to find out what is wrong or at least let you know that things are OK.

Enter the Service Diagnostic mode and then run Service tests 1 through 7 and 32 through 39 as described in the guide and check if anything shows up as faulty.

If there is a problem and it's a faulty part that needs replacing, here's the parts list that is useful. Locate the wanted part in the list and note the part number that is shown with it. Search online for the part number only, to find suppliers that suit you best.

If you search on YouTube for (insert wanted part number) replacement sometimes if you're lucky you'll find videos on how to remove/replace the part.
