@ikennanwosu While it could be an electrical problem, software updates are unlikely to help; besides that's normally something that can only be done by a Volkswagen dealership.
Have you had your car scanned for trouble codes? The engine computer generally records issues like that with codes that can help identify the problem. Scanners can be purchased inexpensively online; these plug into the car's OBD-II port and connect via Bluetooth to an app on your phone. There are plenty of free ones available; I personally use one called Torque.
Is the Check Engine light on? Please check to see if your car is showing any trouble codes then come back here and tell us what you found. If it doesn't have any codes, let us know, otherwise tell us exactly what code(s) your car is giving you.
We would also need to know what year your Golf is, assuming you have the same car as the original question.

My experience is similar, when the engine is started, it doesn't sound stable and steaming seems low whereby even in motion sometimes cuts engine power.
Could the problem be electrical thereby needing the vehicles updated software to run a reset?
