2017 MB Air A1466 NDC001 Error Code (Camera)

2017 MB Air A1466 (Monterey 12.7.6) + Windows 11

Unit works fine under Windows with no issues at all, but in Mac OS it will shut down after a few minutes & or no movement on the cursor at boot. Fan is maxing out. We initially thought it was something to do with the KB as the Option key decided not to function anymore.I have spent all day swapping out numerous keyboards, Touch Pads & cables etc but it has the same result each time. So I ran diagnostics & I get the NDC001 Error, which points to an issue with the Camera.... I have done SMC & PRAM resets to no avail. ALL connections inside are sweet and there is zero corrosion or mess on the logic board, very clean. The camera does indeed blink green with no image when tested with photo booth... BTW ZERO WATER DAMAGE. Would swapping over the display help, or a clean install OS or is this a board related issue and if so whats gone pop? & a known solution please :)

I swapped a complete display and run diagnostics, all clear, seems that the camera hardware seems to have failed as the camera is now working as intended. The display with the faulty camera has been tested on another unit and the issue remains confirming camera failure.

The NDC001 error indicates an issue with the camera. Since the Mac shuts down only in macOS and not Windows, it's likely a macOS-specific hardware communication fault. Try a clean macOS install. If the issue persists, swapping the display (camera assembly) may help. If not, it's likely a logic board issue—possibly the camera controller or I/O circuit.

I swapped over a complete display and it is working fine (So far). The Camera has failed as tested on another unit to confirm.
